Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G is currently running on Android 2.1 operating system. The experience with Android 2.1 is fairly good on the first 4G phone, but many users have requested Sprint to provide Android 2.2 update for the phone.

The company has acknowledged the request of its customers and decided to bring Froyo update on HTC EVO 4G. Android 2.2 will enable flash on the browser and wireless voice dialing.

Moreover, Sprint have a reliable 4G network that is faster compared to what AT&T offers to its iPhone subscribers. Besides, the availability of Wi-Fi and 3G network makes it more desirable than iPhones, experts believe. And, most importantly, you can customize the interface the way you prefer and want, giving the phones your look and identity.

Despite its recent reported shortcoming and glitches, experts believe Evo phones have enough firepower to give Apple’s iPhone 4 a tough competition. According to the latest reports, Sprint released an OTA (over-the-air) update with WiFi fixes, better battery management and Exchange email support. Experts believe that if Sprint irons out the weaknesses in the device, it will suit the users needs just fine.
